Youngsters in Rincón de la Victoria unearth endangered fungus

A group of young explorers from Rincón de la Victoria's mountaineering club (CMR) recently found a critically endangered species of mushroom growing in the countryside around the town.

The Myriostoma Coliforme is on the International Union for Conservation for Nature's list of "threatened, rare and protected" species.

Picking and commercialising the fungus, which is inedible, is banned in Europe.
