Ten Malaga municipalities to benefit from subsidies to make improvements to street markets

A provisional fund of just under 275,000 euros will be used to modernise the markets and improve accessibility

Ten municipalities across Malaga province are to benefit from subsidies from the Junta de AndalucĆ­a regional government to make improvements to their weekly street markets.

A total of 273,826.37 euros will be distributed between Alozaina, VƩlez-MƔlaga, Ɓlora, Alfarnate, BenalmƔdena, Nerja, Colmenar, AlmƔchar, IstƔn and Alhaurƭn de la Torre in order to improve and modernise facilities at the market grounds, especially accessibility.

The funding at the moment is provisional. The councils have six months to carry out the works before being made to justify the expense and before funds are released.

The biggest portion, 43,500 euros, has been given to VƩlez-MƔlaga.
