British comedian Freddie Starr died on Thursday in his home in Mijas Costa. According to sources he was found by his carer who raised the alarm at 3.30pm. He was 76 years old.
The comedian, who rose to fame as a stand-up comic in the 1970s, suffered a heart attack, the autopsy confirmed on Friday. A previous heart attack in 2010 led to major bypass surgery.
Freddie was born on 9 January 1943 in Lancashire. He moved to Spain in 2015 after losing his High Court claim for damages against a woman who had accused him of sexual abuse during the Yewtree investigations into historical abuse in 2012. He was not prosecuted.
