Wild boar keeps local police and hunters occupied for two hours in town-centre chase
The animals are a common sight around the Torrox river but they rarely enter populated areas

Local police, hunters and other officers spent almost two hours on Wednesday morning trying to capture a young wild boar in Torrox town centre.
The animal, which according to sources was around three years old, was first spotted by residents in the El Pontil and La Cebadilla areas of the old town.
Once caught, it was released in an area of countryside outside the town centre. According to sources, wild boar are a common sight around the Torrox river but they rarely enter populated areas.
