A hundred tourism officials and representatives of hotel and travel companies from Andalucía will travel to Berlin next week for the ITB fair. The huge event is recognised as the most important in the world for the volume of business generated for the travel and tourism industry.

The Andalucía stand will cover 500 square metres and over 270,000 euros will be spent on supporting promotions. Germany is the second biggest market for Andalusian tourism after the UK and bosses hope to pick up a lot of new business in a market that is growing. As well as an event promoting the cultural diversity of the region, there will be marketing initiatives to highlight links between Andalusian villages and German people.

Last year at the ITB fair there were 180,000 visitors, 120,000 of whom were professionals, and 10,000 companies from 187 countries were represented.
