“Art for sale here needs to be more accessible”

The next exhibition at El Casino will open on 31 March and will feature a number of artists. There will be workshops and activities on each Saturday throughout April, for which booking is essential.

Roberta explains that the type of art and artists her exhibitions are attracting, is a reflection of what is happening with art here. She adds, More and more artists are being attracted to the area and the quality and type of art being created is witnessing something of a revolution. The problem is that it means the work being sold isn't accessible to many people. Roberta also believes that there needs to be a limit of say 600 euros for art here as there isn't the money here like there is in other parts of Europe.
