Family English Cemetery Days

The English Cemetery was founded by the British Consul William Mark in 1831 at a time when non Catholics who died in Malaga, had to be buried on the beach at night. An enthusiastic gardener, he also created a garden. The English Cemetery is now listed by the Junta de Andalucía as being of Cultural Interest and is maintained by a not for profit Foundation.
