As part of its winter cultural agenda, Torremolinos will host Los Conciertos de Picasso, a series of classical music and flamenco recitals, at the Picasso Cultural Centre from the end of October until December.
The cycle will present some of the area's top musicians, singers and dancers.
Professor of flamenco guitar and director of the Conservatory of Music of Malaga, Javier García Moreno, one of the most outstanding and respected guitarists of his generation, will perform on Friday 29 October.
The cycle continues on Friday 12 November with a piano and cello concert; while flamenco will return the following Friday with Manuel de la Curra, a singer from Jerez de la Frontera who evolves from one of the mightiest flamenco clans in the history of the art.
The flamenco will continue on Saturday 11 December, with the company of Isaac de los Reyes, an outstanding young dancer who mixes flamenco, ballet and contemporary dance, creating a raw style that is deeply rooted in tradition. The final concert on Thursday 23 December will present local classical pianist Manuel López.
All concerts, which start at 8pm, are free, except for Isaac de los Reyes, which costs 20 euros. Tickets can be purchased at www.latiendadelasentradas.com.
