Barely twelve days have passed since the tenth edition of the Starlite Catalana Occidente Festival closed its doors and, already, the first big-name concert has been confirmed for next summer.

The Italian opera tenor Andrea Bocelli, will return to the Nagüeles quarry on 15 August. "I am very excited to return to Starlite Catalana Occidente, a unique festival that is a worldwide benchmark," said the artist.

Tickets for the concert have already gone on sale.

Bocelli, who has sold more than 90 million records worldwide, was one of the lineup of international stars who postponed their tours in 2021, and who will, instead, be present at the 2022 edition. Others are expected to be Maluma, Simple Minds, Lionel Richie, Alan Parsons Live Project, Il Divo and Nile Rodgers & Chic.

With this announcement, the Marbella festival begins a new decade in which its promoters, Sandra García Sanjuan and Ignacio Maluquer, intend to "think big, to make new dreams come true."
