The thirteenth edition of the popular Blues at Moonlight festival will be held at the Hotel Sunset Beach in Benalmádena from Thursday 25 until Sunday 28 November.
This international rockabilly and American roots music gathering, organised by Active Sound Productions and Benalmádena town hall, has become one of the most prestigious events of its kind in Spain. This year’s event will present 13 celebrated rock and roll musicians from France, the UK and Spain. Topping the bill is French rocker Jake Calypso and Red Hot, a group renowned for their incredible musicianship and exciting stage presence.
British rockabilly bands Lobo Jones and the Rhythm Hounds and The Danny McVey Trio will also perform on the coveted stage at the Moonlight Lounge; along with The Uncle Charlie Combo, a 50s style rock and roll band from Seville who have gained a strong following by performing all over Europe.
Several renowned disc-jockeys from the UK will keep the music flowing in between acts.
The four-day festival will present some of the most celebrated roots music artistes on the scene and so it will be a must for lovers of blues, rockabilly, honky-tonk and country music.
Tickets for the Thursday and Sunday night sessions cost 15 euros. Tickets for Friday night cost 30 euros, while Saturday, the main event, is 35 euros.
