Siente Málaga

The festival Siente Málaga will offer seventy shows around the city centre, the majority of which will be free. There will be copla, flamenco and verdiales concerts as well as theatrical processions about the tradition of the Malaga Feria. More information about the acts can be found on

La Banda Sonora de mi Ciudad

This music festival will help to highlight the hard work of the bands reflected in their musical diversity with special attention to the bands of the brotherhoods. It will include concerts by the Banda Musical del Rocío, the Banda Musical Cruz de Humilladero, the cornets and drums of the Real Cuerpo de Bomberos, Banda Musical Churriana, Banda Musical de Mena, Banda Musical de Miraflores, The cornets and drums Fusionadas, the cornets and drums Esperanza, the Banda Musical Trinidad Sinfónica and the Banda de la Expiración Eloy García. To celebrate the new exhibition by the Argentine artist Silvana Orcese there will be a concert by the Malaga tenor Francisco Arbós with pianist Cornelia Lenzin. The theme of the evening is the poems of Friedrich Rückert with music by Schumann, Liszt and Gustav Mahler. The German texts are also read out in Spanish. Register:

Art history in focus

Founded by art historian and lecturer Siân Walters, Art History in Focus arranges regular courses, study days and visits in the UK as well as cultural holidays throughout Europe. Siân is a highly qualified and experienced tutor and events organiser, and lectures regularly for the National Gallery and NADFAS (The Arts Society).

English Cemetery Tour

Botanical garden El Molino de Inca

Torremolinos. Jardín Botánico El Molino de Inca.

The site, which has been remodelled to make the gardens and facilities accessible to everyone, has now re-opened. The gardens cover 40,000 square metres of land and contain nearly a thousand plant species of which there are 150 varieties of palm. There are also several different species of birds, including some unique in Spain.
