Some of Spain’s top drag queens have come together to present a spectacular show entitled the Gran Hotel de las Reinas. The show, which has been featured on the Atresmedia television series on Antena 3, will begin its national tour at the Starlite festival in Marbella on July 29, after which, it will be performed at the municipal auditorium in Torremolinos on Saturdays from July 31 until August 28. The tour will also take in Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia.
The show consists of risqué routines, cabaret, hilarious characterisations and public participation. The performers will adorn colourful wigs, gaudy make-up and ostentatious outfits to perform a two-hour show that is laced with the fast-fire, brazen humour for which drags are renowned.
Outrageous drag queen Supremme de Luxe, who currently hosts the popular television show Drag Race Spain, will act as master of ceremonies. Born in Madrid in 1979, this charismatic artiste began working on the Madrid scene in 1997 and has since gone on to become one of the country’s top drag artistes on stage and television.
Supreme de Luxe will be assisted by Paca La Piraña, a flamboyant drag queen - formerly known as Feneno - who was described by ‘90s drag sensation RuPaul as one of the best drag acts in Spain.
The show also includes Arantxa Castilla La Mancha, Carmen Farala, Dovima Nurmi, Drag Vulcano, Hugaceo Crunchy, Inti, Killer Queen, Pupi Poisson, Sagittaria and The Macarena.
Tickets for the Starlite performance (10pm) and for the Torremolinos shows (8pm) are available from www.granhoteldelasreinas.es/
