The 31st edition of the Temporada Lírica has begun and offers a varied programme of operas and ballets performed by prestigious names in both fields. The Orquesta Filarmónica de Málaga will be playing at all of the performances at the Teatro Cervantes.
The Ballet Nacional de España will be performing Electra next Friday and Saturday, 22 and 23 November, while Tuesday 26 November the Malandain Ballet Biarritz will perform Marie Antoinette with the Royal Versailles Opera company.
Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet will be staged by the Russian National Ballet on 27 November and Sleeping Beauty, performed by the Saint Petersburg Classical Ballet company, on 11 December.
The same ballet company will perform the Christmas classic Swan Lake at the Teatro Cervantes on 26 December.
