The twelfth edition of the popular Blues at Moonlight Festival will be held in Benalmádena from Thursday 21 until Sunday 24 November.

The international rockabilly and American roots music gathering, organised by Active Sound Productions and Benalmádena town hall, will be held in the Moonlight Lounge Bar at the Sunset Beach Hotel.

A series of free afternoon concerts will take place on the terrace of the Oasis Bar between midday and 6.30pm, while the main concerts in the Moonlight Lounge will begin at 8pm and continue until the early hours.

The festival has become one of the most prestigious events of its kind in Spain and this year will present numerous groups and artists from the UK, Germany, Spain, France, Belgium and Portugal. These will include German Rockers Cat Lee King and his Cocks; UK rockers Dany O and the Astrotones; Brussels-based rockabillies Crystal and Runnin Wild, and French singer Viktor Huganet, whose live show is a tribute to Elvis, Eddie Cochrane and Gene Vincent.

Founded in 2015, German rockers Cat Lee King and His Cocks are one of the most notable rock and roll bands in Europe. Led by charismatic bandleader Cat Lee King, a self-taught honky-tonk pianist, the band made its name on the German blues and rock and roll scene. Their repertoire, described as "hellraising rock and roll", is a mix of well-known hits and their own compositions.

One of Spain's top rockabilly bands, The Trouper's Swing Band will perform classic rock and roll hits from the 1930s to the 50s. The band are noted for their Neo-swing style - a style that promotes the golden years of swing.

Tickets for the Thursday and Sunday night sessions cost 15 euros and for Friday night 30 euros, while Saturday costs 35 euros. A weekend pass costs 80 euros and a special package including hotel accommodation is also available. Entry for children under twelve, who must be accompanied by an adult, is free.
