British director Phil Grabsky brings documentary on young Picasso to the artist's birthplace

  • The film will be screened at the Picasso museum

One of the documentaries to be shown during the Malaga Film Festival is Young Picasso, the most recent work by British filmmaker Phil Grabsky.

With this documentary Grabsky aims to bring the lesser known early years of the artist closer to the general public.

Three cities play a key role in the film: Malaga, Barcelona and Paris. The young Picasso visits each one of them and explores how they influenced his art.

Young Picasso, narrated by Tim Marlow with Harry Lloyd as the voice of Picasso, will be screened at the Malaga Picasso Museum on 18 March at 9.45pm. The documentary is part of the festival's Documental Sesión Especial section.
