Malaga Football Club hopes that around 7,000 supporters will cheer on their team during the first league match of the season at the La Roselada stadium on 16 August.
Last Saturday only around a thousand fans watched the game against Tenerife, but the club hopes to far exceed that figure on Monday, with an 8pm kick-off.
For the league match the club has decided to eliminate the requirement to present a coronavirus vaccination certificate or a negative Covid-19 test to access the ground, as was required last weekend. After discussions with the Junta de Andalucía, this measure, has been dropped. Now the only thing that is required is to respect social distancing guidelines and to wear a FFP2 face mask.
In a statement, the Malaga club has also explained it is not in a position to sell season tickets yet, so the only way to attend will be with single tickets.
«The club cannot put season tickets up for sale until it can guarantee the allowed capacity, something that will depend on the health regulations imposed by the administrations,» it points out.
Tickets for the game on Monday will go on sale this Wednesday and Thursday (11 and 12 August) to members of the club, before any remaining seats are offered to the general public on Friday.
