Marbella suffered their first defeat of the season on Sunday after Tamaraceite mounted an astonishing comeback following midfielder Alfred Planas' second-half red card.
After an even opening half an hour in La Palma when half chances went each way, the visitors took the lead in the 36th minute when Planas' cross from the right was met by winger Callejón who finished low past the keeper.
Tamaraceite almost immediately responded but López Silva rattled the crossbar.
After the break, though, it took a turn for the worse for the visitors when Planas was shown a straight red card following an off-the-ball incident for reasons unclear to most inside the Juan Guedes stadium.
It proved to be a pivotal moment from which the hosts started their comeback. Tamaraceite made a number of changes and they paid off.
Pitu bagged the equaliser with a chipped effort in the 67th minute, before a defensive mix-up resulted in a foul and Quintero converting the penalty to give his side the lead with ten minutes to go.
The final nail in the coffin came in stoppage time when Alexis Ramos scored the third on the counterattack.
