Caroline Grahm and her Anglo-Arabian horse Bambina RC followed up last year's success by becoming double Andalusian endurance riding champions over 80 kilometres.
This came after this weekend's final race of the year in Sanlúcar.
Caroline won best rider and Bambina best horse in their first year competing together at this distance.
This success comes after they completed the same double last year, albeit in the lower 60-kilometre category.
Caroline, who is from Lancashire (UK), has lived in Estepona for over 20 years and runs Ranch Siesta Los Rubios riding stables which looks after in excess of 25 horses.
She only started competing in the sport five years ago when she was introduced to it by friend and fellow competitor Tracy Lewis from Manilva.
Another competitor from Estepona, vet Lucía Vázquez, came second in the Andalusian league at 60 kilometres with her horse Gloria in their first year competing. Both women train every day in the Sierra Bermeja mountains.
