Just as things are starting to come together behind the scenes, they appear to be doing so in the stands too as Malaga's season ticket campaign got off to a strong start last week, with 8,000 people already signed up for next season in the first week of the campaign alone.

According to figures provided by the club, this uptake is exceeding all expectations, as fans look to take advantage of the various discounts and promotions that have been put on.

Of the figures released, the most striking is that of the 300 people who have decided to purchase a season ticket for the first time, despite relegation and almost a month of chaos at boardroom level.

A further 5,000 have renewed automatically as part of a promotion from last season, while just short of 3,000 have chosen to renew voluntarily.

Season ticket holders from last season have their seats reserved until the end of the month at which point they will be put up for general sale.
