This is the moment the military revive a cat that had inhaled smoke from the La Palma volcano

The feline was found on the edge of a lava flow on the island by members of Spain's Emergency Military Unit

The eruption of the La Palma volcano is not only causing material damage and numerous personal dramas, but it is also affecting animals on the island.

After the well-publicised drone attempt to rescue dogs trapped by lava flows, another heart-warming example has come to light.

A cat was found in shock after inhaling smoke, on the edge of a lava flow, but a member of the Spain’s Emergency Military Unit did not hesitate to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation manouveres on the feline and managed to save its life.

The cat is now reported to be recovering well from its ordeal.
