Andalucía adds 604 Covid infections and 17 deaths, and the incidence rate drops to 116.7

  • Seville, with 233 positives, is the province that has registered most infections this Friday, followed by Malaga

The Andalucía region this Friday, 10 September, has registered a total of 604 coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, some 95 fewer than Thursday and 491 down on those reported seven days ago, according to data from the Andalusian Institute of Cartography and Statistics.

The IECA, has also reported 17 Covid-19 deaths, six more than the day before and eight fewer than a week ago.

The cumulative incidence continues to drop and stands at 116.7 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, which is 10.1 down on Thursday and 77.6 fewer than seven days ago.

The 604 positives this Friday are registered after the 699 on Thursday, 680 on Wednesday, 307 on Tuesday, 1,298 of Monday and Sunday (48 hours), 895 on Saturday and the 1,095 of last Friday.

By provinces, Seville is once again the one with the most infections with 233, followed by Malaga with 136, Cadiz with 69, Granada with 51, Almeria with 47, Jaén with 25, Cordoba with 24 and Huelva with 19.

As for the 17 deaths registered in the last 24 hours, there were five in Malaga, four in Cadiz, three in Seville, two in Cordoba and one in Almeria, Granada and Huelva. Jaén is the only province that did not register any coronavirus deaths.

The region has seen a decrease of 30 patients hospitalised for Covid compared to the previous day to stand at 680. The number of patients in an intensive care unit has dropped for the fifth day and now stands at 166, some 23 fewer than those reported seven days ago.
