The Andalucía region has this Wednesday, 11 August, registered a total of 3,059 positive coronavirus tests, lower than the 3,655 on the same day last week, according to data from the Andalusian Institute of Statistics and Cartography (IECA).
The Junta authority has also confirmed 24 Covid deaths in the last day, a high figure but lower than the 28 on Tuesday, which was the highest number since 11 May.
The cumulative incidence rate in the region has dropped for the eighth time after 33 days of consecutive increases and stands at 542.4 per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days, down some 20.6 points in 24 hours and 43.6 points fewer in a week.
The 3,059 positive tests this Wednesday are registered after the 3,418 on Tuesday, 4,184 on Monday and Sunday, 4,360 on Saturday, 4,651 on Friday, 4,496 on Thursday and the 3,655 last Wednesday.
By provinces, Seville remains the one with the most positive tests with 668, followed by Malaga with 628, Jaén with 357, Granada 330, Cadiz with 297, Huelva with 276, Cordoba with 274 and Almeria with 229.
As for the 24 deaths, Malaga added nine, Seville and Cordoba four each, Almeria three, Cadiz and Granada two each, and Huelva and Jaén none.
