Andalucía slightly lowers its Covid incidence rate to 189 after three days of increases

  • The region has added 1,263 new positive cases and five coronavirus deaths in the latest 24-hour period

The Andalusian region has, this Wednesday (9 June), registered a total of 1,263 positive cases of coronavirus, according to the daily data from the Andalusian Institute of Statistics and Cartography (IECA), which has also recorded five deaths.

The cumulative incidence rate for the region has fallen, very slightly, after three days of increases, and stands at 189 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days, three tenths less than Tuesday but 11.1 more than seven days ago.

The 1,261 cases this Wednesday are registered after 1,161 on Tuesday, the 1,600 on Monday and Sunday, the 1,325 on Saturday, the 1,499 on Friday, the 1,639 on Thursday and the 1,492 on the same day last week.

By provinces, Seville is once again the one with the most new cases with 270, followed by Granada with 228, Malaga with 216, Cordoba with 143, Jaén with 135, Cadiz with 119, Huelva with 110 and Almeria with 42.

Regarding the five deceased, they are distributed between Granada (four) and Jaén (one).
