Junta invites 47 and 48-year-olds to make appointments for their Covid jabs

  • The opportunity to make appointments for vaccinations direct in Andalucía has been extended to people aged between 47 and 59 (born between 1962 and 1974), as well as for those aged 68 or over (born in 1953 and previous years)

From this Friday, 4 June, people born in 1973 and 1974, that is who turn, or have turned, 48 or 47 in 2021, can make an appointment for their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine. It can be requested through ClicSalud + on the website of the Andalusian Health Service (SAS), via the mobile application, the Salud Responde telephone number (955 545 060) or at the local health centre, preferably by phone.

Vaccination of this age group will be carried out mainly with doses of the Pfizer and Moderna formulas.

Therefore the possibility of making an appointment direct is extended to people aged from 47 to 59 (born between 1962 and 1974), as well as for those aged 68 or over (born in 1953 and previous years), the regional government said in statement.

The 60 to 67 age group are being contacted via telephone call or SMS text message.

The number of appointments will be depend on the number of doses the region receives and will be available to people registered on the SAS database, regardless of whether they have public or private health insurance.

People under 65 who have had the disease must wait six months from the diagnosis of the infection before making an appointment for a coronavirus jab.
