With the end of the state of alarm in sight this Sunday (9 May), the president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno has announced an easing of the current restrictions governing the maximum capacity of beaches, swimming pools and shows.

The head of the regional government explained this Thursday that in municipalities with alert levels 1 and 2, that the audience or spectators will be separated from each other by one seat in theatres, shows, sporting events or bullrings. In the localities that are in levels 3 and 4, they will have to maintain a separation distance of 1.5 metres.

Regarding the swimming pools and beaches, there will be no limit on hours but it will be mandatory to maintain a distance of 1.5 metres between groups out of the water. The maximum capacity will vary depending on the alert level of the municipality, and the president announced that a specific coronavirus plan will be drawn up.

Nightclubs can stay open until 2am from Sunday but the use of dance floors will only be allowed in level 1 areas and provided that users wear a mask.
