The start of 2021 has already seen temperatures across Spain plummet and, in many cases, break historical records.

In Teruel the thermometer has dropped to 21 degrees below zero, and in Toledo the local record has been smashed with minus 12.5 degrees.
In Malaga province the Puerto de Pilones weather station in the Sierra de las Nieves (Ronda), has recorded a minimum of 14.9 degrees below freezing.
This Tuesday around 40 provinces in Spain will be on alert for further minimum temperatures warnings according to forecasts from the state weather agency, Aemet.
All of Andalucía, except Malaga, will be covered with a yellow weather warnings as the mercury plummets again.
