A free range hen in the Extremadura region has laid an egg weighing 182 grammes. This is three times the normal size and the biggest ever recorded in Spain.

The owner of the chicken farm, Emilio Manuel Pérez , who collects hundred of eggs by hand every day, confessed that he didn't know what to do with his prize.

The record-breaker has a circumference of 19cm and beats the previous Spanish record of 176 grammes.
