With shouts of "don't be scared", "we want to see the virus" and "we aren't criminals, we want to breathe", hundreds of protesters gathered in the centre of Madrid on Sunday.

They were protesting against anti-Covid measures and almost all were not wearing a mask (or with it to one side) and not respecting social distancing.

Many said that the pandemic didn't exist and had been made up by politicians and media companies.

The Spanish medics association had called for the demonstration to be banned.
