Government accused of aiding Venezuelan vice-president's entry into Spain

  • Venezuelan leaders are currently banned from entering EU territory

A judge has ordered CCTV tapes from Madrid Airport not to be destroyed.

The move comes amid accusations that Transport minister, José Luis Ábalos, met Venezuelan vice-president Delcy Rodríguez and helped him onto Spanish soil while he waited for an ongoing flight.

Venezuelan leaders are banned from entering EU territory and Madrid initially said that Rodríguez hadn’t crossed the border, which is disputed.
