In a legal spat over trademarks, Spain's supreme court has ruled that the shape of a bull is not a national symbol. Badtoro, which sells bull-branded souvenirs, had tried to get Osborne brandy's famous bull-shaped trademark cancelled, claiming a bull symbol couldn't have registered status. This followed Osborne's failed attempt to have Badtoro's bull logo banned, saying it is too similar to their own. Osborne's case is awaiting an EU appeal decision.
