Rainfall, which will be "significant and widespread", is expected this Tuesday and Wednesday throughout Andalucía, according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
The Met Office’s Luis Fernando López Cotín has specified that in the area of the Sierra Bermeja in Malaga province, the heaviest rain is expected to fall on Tuesday (14 September). This Monday, just a few drops were registered in the Genal Valley area.
"Let's hope that these more intense rains will help to extinguish the fire," said López Cotín who explained that "the week will be marked by a storm that will entered through Portugal and will cause bring cloud and rain”.
Aemet has activated a yellow weather warning due to rains and storms this Tuesday from 00.00 hours in Seville, Huelva and Cordoba provinces, where up to 20 mm call fall in a one-hour period.
Regarding temperatures, López Cotín said that "they will go down until Wednesday", and from Thursday "they will rise again until reaching the values of the beginning of the week."
