Three people rescued from a dinghy off the coast of Malaga

The coastguard picked up the men, of Northwest African origin, on Wednesday evening


Spain's coastguard service rescued three people who were found drifting in a dinghy off the coast of Malaga on Wednesday evening, 8 September.

Salvamento Marítimo sources said the boat was spotted in waters southeast of the city, and and one of their crews was mobilised.

The Salvamar Vega rescue vessel intercepted the dinghy at around 7pm, picking up three people, all men of Maghreb origin, and transferred them to the Port of Malaga.
