Bad weather is set to return to Malaga province this Friday, 24 September, and Spain's State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated yellow warnings in the province for heavy rain and storms.
The weather alerts will be in effect until 11pm and affect Malaga city, the Guadalhorce area, Antequera, Axarquía and Ronda (in the latter area the warning will end at 5pm). Forecasters are warning that up to 20mm of rain could fall in hour.
Aemet says cloudy skies are expected, "with heavy showers occasionally accompanied by storms that can locally be strong.”
However, temperatures will remain unchanged and winds will be of a variable direction on the coast, and from the southeast in the rest of province.
