Spain's national train operator, Renfe, has cancelled several services leaving or operating within Malaga province this Friday, 10 September, due to the strike called by the SFF-CGT union.
In a statement, Renfe has announced that the AVE Madrid-Malaga high-speed service, the Malaga-Seville medium-distance train and the local Cercanías C1 and C2 lines will be affected.
On the AVE high-speed service, the departures from Malaga at 12 noon and 7pm, and from Madrid at 11.35am and 6.30pm hours are cancelled.
Likewise, the Malaga-Seville medium-distance trains leaving Malaga at 5.19 pm and Seville at 6.48 pm are also cancelled.
In the case of the local Cercanías service, 17 of the 104 trains that serve the C1 Malaga-Fuengirola Line, and three of the 20 that cover the C2 Malaga-Álora route have been cancelled.
Renfe has indicated that affected passengers will be offered a place on the next available train or the option to change or cancel the ticket at no cost. You can check the status of your train at www.renfe.com, telephone 912 320 320 and station information points.
