A Dutch police officer who was enjoying a holiday in Torremolinos spotted man at the same establishment she was staying, who she recognised was wanted by authorities in her home country.
Her telephone tip-off to the National Police in the Costa del Sol town led directly to the arrest of the 24-year-old man who was being sought under a European arrest warrant following a stabbing incident in Holland.
Several police patrols went to the premises and verified that the individual was wanted as the alleged attacker in a stabbing that occurred in the Dutch town of Haarlem in June of this year.
The young man was arrested and is awaiting a court appearance in Torremolinos.
