A 60-year-old man has been found dead in the swimming pool of a property in the Malaga town of Alhaurín el Grande.

The alarm was raised at around 10.30pm on Wednesday, 11 August when the 112 Andalucía emergency control room received a call.

The Guardia Civil and an ambulance crew were alerted but, at the scene, they could do nothing to save the man's life and confirmed his death.

The body has been transferred to the Institute of Legal Medicine (IML) in Malaga, where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death, and circumstances leading up to it.
