The countdown has begun for the opening of the new Primark store in Marbella. After several months of work on the premises, the Irish company announced this Thursday (5 August) the date on which it will open its doors in the La Cañada shopping centre in Marbella.

The 24 August is the date chosen for the opening of what will be Primark's 12th store in Andalucía, and number 52 in Spain.

It will have more than 4,000 square metres of commercial space, spread over two floors, and will create 100 jobs.

Customers will be able to find the latest summer trends, including ranges of products made with sustainable, recycled and organic materials, as well as new ranges of licensed products, among others.

The general director of Primark in Spain and Portugal, Carlos Inacio, announced the imminent opening on the Costa del Sol saying, “we are delighted to be opening of our first store in Marbella on 24 August. Primark is already a well-known brand in Andalucía and Malaga province and we are very proud to offer even more great fashion at incredible prices to our customers in Marbella and throughout the region when we open later this month.”

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, extensive safety measures have been put in place to help protect employees and customers, including a strict social distancing protocol, transparent screens on all checkouts, and increased cleaning throughout the store.
