Malaga firefighters have cut free a lorry driver from his cab, after his vehicle overturned at the exit of the San José tunnel on Wednesday morning (4 August).

The accident happened at around 8am, on the curve where the A-7 joins the A-45, heading towards Antequera.

The semi-conscious driver was pinned against the crash barrier and firefighters had to use specialist equipment to release. He was stabilised at the scene before being transferred to hospital.

There was a large emergency service presence at the scene as Guardia Civil traffic officers had to direct other traffic around the overturned vehicle.
