A new summer heat wave will hit Andalucía this weekend, which could see temperatures peak at around 45 degrees.
José María Sánchez-Laulhé, director of the Malaga centre of the state weather agency (Aemet) predicts that temperatures will start rising in the interior areas of Andalucía as of this Wednesday (7 July), but the highest temperatures are expected on Saturday.
Almost all the provincial capitals are expected to reach 40 degrees, and Seville could register up to 45 degrees. Cadiz is the exception, as it will be around 35 degrees.
Sánchez-Laulhé also forecasts that sea temperatures in the Mediterranean are expected to drop due to a change in the winds.
