National Police officers investigating an alleged illegal pay TV network have arrested six people in raids across Spain - including the main content provider who was based in Estepona on the Costa del Sol.

The criminal network collapsed after other arrests were made in Castellon, Valencia and Madrid.

Investigations began in early 2020, when officers found the pay TV services advertised on websites and various social media networks. The police discovered that one person headed the organisation, who broadcast the illicit television signals, and provided them to the others involved, who were resellers.

It was discovered that the content provider lived in Estepona, while the other five involved lived in Madrid, Valencia and Castellón.

Police claim that the IPTV provider achieved profits of approximately 150,000 euros per year.
