Weekend Beach festival postponed for second year running

  • Ticket-holders for the Torre del Mar event have two weeks to apply for a refund

Organisers of the Weekend Beach Festival have released a press statement this Tuesday announcing that the event will not take place this year.

“Regrettably, the organisers of the Weekend Beach Festival Torre del Mar have had to take the decision not to go ahead with the festival in 2021,” the statement said, adding, “It has been a difficult and sad decision, but the safety of all the Weekers, workers and artists cannot be guaranteed, given that the Covid-19 situation is not totally under control.”

The organisers have announced provisional dates for the festival; from 6 to 9 July 2022 and have said that tickets bought for the 2020 event will still be valid. However, there is a 14-day window from 2 June for those who have tickets for last year’s event, which was initially postponed until this year, but who now want a refund.

For tickets bought via the festival’s official website, www.entradasatualcance.com, or Correos - the Spanish post office - a refund can be requested by sending an email to: weekendbeach@ayudaeventosandalucia.zendesk.com. For tickets bought as part of an organised trip, the email address for refunds is: weekendbeach@descapada.es
