Woman rushed to Malaga hospital after meat mincer accident

A 35-year-old woman suffered serious injuries on Thursday, 29 April, after her hand became trapped in a meat grinding machine, according to the emergency services.

Minutes before 1pm the 112 emergency telephone service received a call to say a worker in a butcher shop in Malaga’s Camino del Pato had suffered serious injuries to her hand while operating the machine.

Paramedics and police were quickly on the scene and sources say the woman suffered severe trauma to four fingers of her left hand.

The woman was rushed to the Regional Hospital in the city.

The work-related accident is being investigated by the authorities.
