Selwo Aventura, a firm-favourite visitor attraction on the Costa del Sol since 1999, will open its doors again this Friday (26 March) after being closed for several months due to the coronavirus control measures.
Not even the pandemic could stop nature, though, and during these months there have been many new births of the main species at the park.
Selwo director Alberto Martín said the team of veterinarians, biologists and keepers has "guaranteed the welfare" of the animals and the upkeep of a "varied diet according to each species" to meet their nature conservation and environmental education goals.
“We hope to progressively recover the level of activity prior to the pandemic. Being able to open again to the public is an indication that things are slowly beginning to return to normal,” said Martín.
The Selwo Marina and the Benalmádena cable car, which have also been closed for several months, will reopen this Saturday (27 March).
As well as the anti-Covid measures at the attraction, which includes social distancing, the continuous disinfection of facilities, the use of masks and hydroalcoholic gels - the capacity will be limited to 50 per cent, so the park recommends booking tickets online at www.selwo.es
