Police on the Costa del Sol have arrested a 52-year-old man after he allegedly attacked a health worker in Marbella.

The alleged assailant, who had been attended by an ambulance crew for possible alcohol intoxication, allegedly punched and kicked one of the members of the medical team after threatening them.

Police were called to the incident at 10.30pm on Monday in calle Palangre after being alerted to the aggressive patient.

The Spanish man, who fled after the attack, was found by National Police officers hiding under a vehicle that was parked on the public highway and it is reported he put up a struggle to resist arrest.
