Free entry to Malaga's museums and monuments this Sunday

  • The Picasso, Pompidou, Thyssen and Russian museums are among those offering free admission to mark World Tourism Day

A total of 26 cultural spaces in Malaga city will offer free entry on Sunday 27 September to mark World Tourism Day.

Museums and galleries including the Picasso museum and birth house, the Pompidou and Russian museums have signed up to the initiative, as well as other attractions such as the La Concepción botanical gardens, the Gerald Brenan house and the La Araña archaeological site.

Museums: Fundación Picasso-Casa Natal (birth house), Museo Picasso Málaga, Centre Pompidou Málaga, Museo de Málaga (art and archaeology), Colección del Museo Ruso de San Petersburgo (Russian art), Museo Carmen Thyssen, Museo del Patrimonio Municipal, Museo Catedralicio, Museo Revello de Toro, CAC Málaga Centro de Arte Contemporáneo, CAC Málaga La Coracha, Museo Nacional de Aeropuertos y Transporte Aéreo (next to Malaga airport), Principia science centre, Ecomuseo Lagar de Torrijos (Montes de Málaga natural park) and Museo de Arte Flamenco Peña Juan Breva.

Monuments and other attractions: Castillo de Gibralfaro, Alcazaba, Expiración and Estudiantes brotherhood museusm, Roman Theatre, La Concepción botanical-historical garden, La Araña archaeological sites, Gerald Brenan house, Museo de la Imaginación and Ecomuseo Astilleros Nereo.
