The owners of the Don Carlos Hotel in Marbella have said they are prepared to consider withdrawing the ERE compulsory redundancy plan for the luxury property's full-time workers. With this change of heart, the Comisiones Obreras union was hopeful this week that a deal could now be reached.
Negotiations have been ongoing between staff and bosses, and on Wednesday workers and the union met with Marbella mayor, Ángeles Muñoz, to explain their situation.
The Don Carlos wants to move from year-round to seasonal opening and needs to change working conditions.
