Benalmádena council has expressed its confidence that it will be able to continue running the iconic Puerto Marina. After a 2014 ruling limited port concessions to 30 years, its concession is set to expire next year.
However, the town hall, in collaboration with others which directly control their marinas, has been working for several months on a change to the law which will revert the contracts to their original terms.
"Everything seems to be pointing towards the law protecting us," said mayor Víctor Navas, who wished to convey a message of "calm".
