The budget plan for next year envisages the reopening of the CIO Mijas elite hospitality school next year.
A sum of nearly half a million euros will be spent on refurbishing classrooms and communal areas so the school can start teaching courses such as accommodation reception, sommelier, local tourism promotion and languages.
Further works on the building, which has been closed for five years and was even occupied at one point by squatters, will allow catering classes to commence later next year.
