Animal charity seeking dare devils for zip wire challenge

The Axarquía Animal Rescue (AAR) charity is organising a sponsored zip wire challenge on Sunday 20 October at the Comares zip wire. Anyone interested must register as soon as possible as places are limited.

The 20 people already participating, among whom is 10-year-old Charlie, are also looking for sponsors. Contact the charity via Facebook or email: axarquia-rescue@hotmail.com. Donations can be made directly through AAR founder, Teresa Dainty's Go Fund Me page.

Jane Wigy, who is one of the organisers of the event and whose husband, Luc, will be taking the challenge, told SUR that they wanted to do "something different" that would appeal to all ages and encourage people to get involved in the charity, which has rehomed over 3000 dogs and cats since it started in 2011.
