The province of Malaga is already home to 23 Cudeca charity shops. This number is to increase in the near future, however, as the hospice foundation's 24th outlet is due to open soon in the Marenostrum shopping centre.

The forthcoming opening means that the foundation is currently seeking volunteers. "The foundation makes progress thanks to voluntary work, organised in shifts of four hours a week. Shifts are rotated, and so we need around 50 volunteers in order to support a single shop," hospice representative Jorge López told SUR.

Volunteer work will involve receiving donations, serving customers, overseeing shop window displays, and explaining the care Cudeca Hospice provides.

Anyone interested is invited to contact voluntariado@cudeca.org or telephone 952 564 910 or 671 048 304.
